RSC Analytical Science Early Career Prize

Many congratulations to Professor Rob Weatherup, who was awarded the Analytical Science Early Career Joseph Black Prize by the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) on 18 June 2024.  This award was in recognition of Professor Weatherup's development and application of interface-sensitive X-ray spectroscopies for observing reactions in atmospheric pressure and liquid environments.

On the same day Professor Weatherup was an RSC invited speaker at the 2024 Analytical Research Forum - the title of his talk was 'Observing Reactions at Electrochemical and Catalytic Interfaces with Operando X-ray Spectroscopies'.
