'This has been a team effort supported by colleagues across the department, and it continues'.
Professor James Marrow
Many congratulations to Professor James Marrow, who has been recognised in this year's Teaching Awards in the Mathematics, Physical and Life Science Division.
James was nominated because of his overall leadership for undergraduate teaching in this department, which is carried out in a thorough and excellent manner. James' leadership skills in garnering the support of the academics to revise and improve the Materials Science undergraduate course was favourably considered by the judges. James ensured the integrity of the course revision process by incorporating input from a wide range of relevant experts in the field. The new course has now been implemented and well-received, with James working in the background to handle any required re-working and updates to texts and course structure.
