Many congratulations to Dr Anastasia Soeriyadi on being awarded a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship to work on 'Nano-Structure to Device-Property: Enhancing Process Design for Functional Nanolayers' (NanoPED), under the guidance of Professor Sebastian Bonilla and Professor Sergio Lozano-Perez.

Improving the efficiency of Solar Photovoltaic power is the single most important enabler in reducing electricity costs and accelerating the deployment of this crucial renewable technology.  The use of functional nanolayers in solar cell interfaces has been the single most important upgrade that enabled record-breaking efficiencies above 25%.

By understanding the connection between the nanostructure and device operation, NanoPED will enable the rational design of these ground-breaking materials, providing ultimate control over the interface chemistry and opening a path to higher device efficiencies.
