IoM3 Robert Perrin Award 2023

Many congratulations to Professor Saiful Islam, who was awarded the 2023 Robert Perrin Award by IoM3 on 7 December 2023.
This medal is jointly supported by the Armourers & Brasiers' Company and is official recognition by a leading institution in the field of Materials Science of the expansive outreach work Professor Islam carries out, in addition to his world-leading research and his many other duties within the University.
The Robert Perrin Award has a specific focus on 'outstanding and sustained commitment to outreach activity targeted at 11-19 year olds' and the judges took into account sustained involvement in outreach activities over a number of years, sharing best practice with colleagues and engaging in activities outside of the normal day-to-day role of the nominee.
