The winners of the 2022 David Cockayne Centre for Electron Microscopy Image Competition are:

Winner: People's Choice

Christian Bechteler: 'Si-based crystals grown in an Ar-plasma during field assisted sintering of Silicon Carbide';

Runner-Up: People's Choice

Marcus Williamson: 'Berry among Thorns - ZnO tetrapods produced by a flame transport synthesis process'; and

Winner: Judges' Choice

Christian Bechteler: 'Si-based crystals grown in an Ar-plasma during field assisted sintering of Silicon Carbide'. The judges were impressed by the composition and visual impact of this image.
