2023 PVSEC-34 Award: Yan Wang

On 10 November 2023, Yan Wang won the top-10 Poster Award at the 34th International Photovoltaic Science and Engineering Conference (PVSEC-34).  

The judges reviewed over 750 scientific contributions from across the globe, out of which over 300 were presented as poster contributions.  Yan's work, as exhibited in the conference, concentrated on understanding annealing and stability effects in AZO-Al2O3 nanolayers for Si-based tandem solar cells.  The interconnection between silicon and perovskite solar cells remains one of the biggest challenges for the fast and sustainable deployment of this critical renewable energy technology.
