The Mathematical, Physical and Life Sciences Division (MPLS) has made three awards to Oxord Materials staff, to reflect their dedication, innovation and excellence during the 2025-2026 academic year:

 

MPLS Policy Impact Award: Professor Nicole Grobert

The assessment panel were highly impressed with Professor Grobert's work in establishing a strong European advanced materials ecosystem, which bridges the entire supply chain across Europe.  

 

MPLS Professional Services Award: Ms Samantha Pearce

Samantha's exceptional ownership and leadership of the Oxford Advanced Materials Network (OxAMN) has helped OxAMN to rapidly develop into a multi-disciplinary collaboration, making connections between subjects and research projects that otherwise would not have been made.

 

MPLS Award for Outstanding Research Supervision: Professor Sebastian Bonilla

Nominated by students, Professor Bonilla has been recognised for his dedication to those he teaches and supervises, and for nurturing talent and encouraging success.
