"I am thrilled to begin this new chapter with the department as an Associate Professor.  It is a pleasure to work with so many talented colleagues here, and I am excited to continue advancing our world-leading research and teaching in Materials.".

Professor Robert House

Many congratulations to Robert House, who is now an Associate Professor with this department and the ZERO Institute, and a Non-Tutorial Fellow with Keble College.

Professor House's research focuses on the discovery and understanding of novel materials for next generation Li-ion and beyond Li batteries.  He holds a Royal Academy of Engineering Research Fellowship focused on the development of new earth-abundant cathode materials to enable batteries that are more sustainable than current Li-on technology.

Professor House is also a co-investigator on the Faraday Institution's CATMAT and NEXGENNA projects which work on next generation Li-ion cathodes and Na-ion batteries, and he runs several collaborative projects with partner companies in the battery industry.
