On 2 September 2024 we were delighted to welcome to the department Dr Greg Mazur (Departmental Lecturer in Quantum Technologies).
Dr Mazur will be lecturing in Materials Science as well as launching his research group who will focus on super-semi Ge hybrids. As Greg himself says:
"For the past years I have been working in the field of topological superconductivity and developing novel materials and measurement techniques.
The highlights of my research include the development of high-magnetic field compatible semiconductor-superconductor hybrids, as well as state-of-the-art Cooper pair splitters and kitaev chains.
I am excited to start this research field here at the University of Oxford and contribute to its vibrant scientific landscape".
