Dr Sai Nayantara Srinivasan of both this department and Mansfield College has been recognised by The Women's Engineering Society (WES) as being one of this year's UK Top 50 Women in Engineering.  Dr Srinivasan received her award on 23 June at the House of Lords during a celebration organised by WES.

Dr Nayantara's doctorate work with us and Mansfield College explored the integration of graphene, barium titanate and ultraviolet-curable polymer systems to engineer lightweight, flexible materials with enhanced dielectric properties.

During the awards, Nayantara said:

"I have been fortunate to learn from exceptional mentors and role models throughout my journey, and I hope to continue using engineering as a platform to create impact, inspire others, contribute to solving global challenges and encourage more young people - especially women and those from diverse backgrounds - to pursue careers in STEM*"

Many congratulations to Nayantara on this worthy recognition!
