JMS004 - Engineering point defects in semiconductors using AI driven automation

Laser processing of defects in materials allows for inline monitoring of local conditions which facilitate reactive process control. This project will develop new AI-powered automated processing tools and use them to produce novel defect-engineered materials. The materials produced will feed into work to develop scalable memory chips for quantum communications and computing.
