Other Services
Photocopier
There is a small photocopier available in room 20.17 just along the corridor beside the library. Please
adhere to the copyright rules that are displayed near the machine. Roughly
speaking, you are permitted to photocopy one chapter or extracts amounting
to no more than 5% of a book and one article from a journal. There is also
a list of titles that are excluded from the rules and from which no copying
is allowed. Photocopying cards are available from reception.
Interlibrary loans
If material is not available locally, it is possible to obtain it elsewhere. For this you need an inter-library loan voucher which you can get from the Librarian. If you then take the voucher to the RSL, they will get your request.
Past exam papers
In the library office, you will find a collection of examination papers
covering the past 10 years. Please make your own photocopies of the papers
that you need. Past exam papers are also available from OXAM only accessible from Oxford network addresses.
Reprints
The filing cabinets in the entrance to the library contain over 1,800 reprints of papers published by past and present members of the Department. There is a reprint card catalogue by the window in the Book Room arranged by author. A ring binder next to it contains a list of reprints arranged chronologically. Most recent papers are on display in a second ring binder.
