Constitution of Joint Consultative Committee for Post-doctoral Researchers (JCCP)

Functions of the Committee

  • To consult with the post-doctoral research staff of the Department and its representatives, and to advise the Department Committee , the HoD and the Administrator of any issues which it thinks relevant to do so.

Membership

Ex Officio all Departmental post-doctoral research staff
Ex Officio the Department Administrator to open sessions

Chair: Dr Grigore Moldovan
Secretary: Dr Neil Young

Notes

  • Chair by election from among Departmental post-doctoral research staff
  • Chair to meet with HoD and Administrator as required to discuss issues and to present a written report to Departmental Committee annually
  • Quorum: 6 of the Department's post-doctoral research staff (as listed on the fellows mailing list)
  • Specific issues should be raised with corresponding Departmental Committees as required. For example, health and safety matters to SASC, teaching to DMAC
  • The Committee shall run open and closed sessions
  • Up to three further members may be co-opted as necessary
